Interpretation at business negotiations, conferences, helping international visitors during their stay in Kazan. One of my most exciting experiences was interpreting business negotiations for a local company that makes surgical simulators that allow a surgical team rehearse a surgery before performing it on a real patient. Participating in a world-changing cause like this is why I love what I do.

I managed a team of 2 and then 3 translators and was an assistant to our Swedish manager, interacted with the staff on his behalf. Responsibilities included:
• Translation and interpretation of technical (specifications for IKEA furniture,
technical manuals, instructions, etc.), economic (financial planning,
analysis), legal (contracts, migration documents for Swedish employees),
customs documentation (invoices, etc), tender documents, correspondence with foreign
partners, presentations, negotiations, meetings, telephone conferencing;
• Interacting with engineers and other technical specialists regarding
documentation for new furniture to produce, including onsite
interpretation during installation of new wood processing machinery;
• Planning and organizing travel (arranging tickets, taxi-cabs, coordinating with
IKEA Travel Service in Moscow), meeting and accompanying specialists from the
owner of the company (IKEA), international suppliers and customers;
• Coordinating the work of translators - distributing tasks, meeting deadlines,
checking and editing translations, consulting team members.
During my work at JSC Domostroitel, the quality of translations by the team increased significantly and, consequently, the number of complaints from the staff and customs decreased dramatically.
