Lead a team of professionals in supporting the main business (Brokerage) of BCS Holding in: FP&A, budgeting, financial modelling, project evaluation, management reporting, employee motivaion, intra-group cost allocation, accounting policy and methodology, business intelligence (Tableau).

 Worked in a multi-function team on the business side of an IT-startup.  Formulated MVP (minimum viable product), proposed a set of competitive advantages for the product and a strategy for entering the market. Actively involved in hiring new team members.  Drew up a formal structure of the project for its founders.  Managed the work of the biggest IT contractor which was developing one of the product’s element in the field of AI.

 Researched the market in Moscow, conducted interviews with medical staff and entrepreneurs working in the field of orthopedic medicine and neighboring segments, formed MVP (minimum viable product), defined target audience, drew up a financial model with different scenarios, formulated and checked the project’s hypotheses, compiled presentation materials for potential investors.  Collected a database of partners in Russia, Austria, Israel and Germany.  Set-up a framework for developing medical tourism segment.

 Operational management of a commercial bank with 90 employees and 3 offices in two countries. The bank had a full EU banking license. Organized the bank’s work within framework of an approved strategy, managed loan and investment portfolios. Liaised with local regulator on compliance with banking regulations. Represented the bank when dealing with media, auditors, business partners, depositors, borrowers and other stakeholders.  Prepared the bank for an entry of a potential new investor: reducing operational costs, reallocation of resources between departments, drawing up investment proposals for the bank, collecting information and answering questions within the scope of due diligence.

 Managed loan department: analysis of new retail and corporate loan requests, drafting proposals for a “loan committee” with subsequent review by the Board. Significant progress was made in improving methodology for evaluating, analyzing and providing loans which significantly enhanced the risk quality of provided loans. Chaired the loan committee.  Established two new department that specialized on working with problematic receivables and executed debt collection.  Managed treasury department and chaired asset-liability committee. The department managed the bank’s FX position and worked on developing new correspondent relations. Established new correspondent relations for payments in EUR and USD, as well as a new partner for hedging FX risk.  Overlooked all dealings with the Czech National Bank. The bank reached a non-financial settlement for an initiated administrative proceeding in 2014. Managed cooperation during an on-site inspection (in 2015) that lasted 6 months. The outcome of the inspection was positive and only minor findings were reported, some of which the bank corrected before the issue of the final report.  Headed preparation of yearly audit reports for 2014 - 2016. Conducted a change of the bank’s auditor in 2014 (new auditor became Deloitte).  Executed a substantial reorganization of the institution during 2014 to 2016. A new organizational structure was established, majority of middle and top management were changed, significant improvements were made in processes related to assessment and subsequent monitoring of loans. More than 80 new methodology documents were drawn up or renewed over this period.

 Oversaw project financing at a Russian commercial bank. Coordinated the bank’s departments responsible for sourcing, risk management and structuring project finance deals (up to 50m EUR). Managed a department that monitored at operational level the realization of financed investment projects.  Developed strategic initiatives focusing on improvement of the bank’s competitiveness during the financial crisis. Drew up a proposal for the launch of new banking products and constructed an integrated strategic structure for banks within the shareholder’s group.

 Coordinated work of highly professional consultants at a world’s largest network of experts. GLG provided access to this network to their clients who were then able to make better investment decisions based on this advice.  Developed a network of contacts in Russian – speaking regions and establishing business relations with consulting companies, professional associations and specialist societies.

 Supported consulting teams at a top management consultancy firm in collecting, analyzing and interpreting various financial and non-financial data. Closely involved at early stages of various consulting projects where I assisted in planning of future work.  Research focused on strategic and technical aspect in relation to asset management and insurance markets in the United Kingdom.  Participated in research projects of the company that were subsequently sold on the market.
